What is rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty is an operation performed for the nose, which is compatible with the person and the whole face, with the ideal breathing function. The most important task of this surgery is to activate, protect and improve the breathing and respiratory function in the best way possible.
Rhinoplasty is an operation that is applied for both visual and health purposes. Operations performed to change the shape of the nose are called Rhinoplasty.
Rhinoplasty can be performed with two different techniques, open and closed. The technique to be used is decided by the doctor considering the structural characteristics of the person. This operation is performed as general or local anesthesia, again according to the needs of the person.
Concha hypertrophy, which causes septum and nasal congestion that makes breathing difficult or prevents, can be corrected by rhinoplasty operation.
Generally, the rhinoplasty operation takes a few hours. The soft silicone pads inserted in the operation are removed after a minimum of 5 days, and the patient's daily life is ensured to continue. After the operation, the edema should completely go down and the nose shape should fit properly, a minimum of 6 months should pass.
